The Australian Centre for International Studies (ACIS) publishes high-quality research and commentary reflecting the diverse interests and approaches within international studies. Our publications include articles, essays, and analytical pieces from scholars at all career stages. All content is freely available online, supporting open and inclusive access to global scholarship. We invite readers to explore our work, engage with new ideas, and contribute to the critical conversations shaping international understanding, policy, and research across disciplines, regions, and perspectives.
We invite submissions from early-career researchers, established academics and knowledgeable contributors from all backgrounds. We welcome original articles, essays and commentary that engage critically with international issues from any disciplinary perspective. Our editorial approach is inclusive and supportive, particularly for emerging scholars. If you have insight to share or a perspective that contributes to global understanding, we encourage you to submit your work and become part of our international community of contributors.
We respectfully acknowledge the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which our work takes place in Canberra. We honour their ongoing connection to land, waters, skies, and community, and pay deep respect to Elders past and present. We also extend this respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, recognising their enduring cultures, knowledge systems, and contributions.
